"This review is directly for the lack of communication and expectations that we received from this office, my parents faithfully paid their policy for 15+ years and thankfully Sandra was great at selling them the policy but once my father passed a few weeks ago she completely failed our family, she is clueless on how the claim process worked and we had to spend hours communicating with corporate and the funeral home for something that Sandra had no idea how it worked or cared to continue to communicate with us, we always had to be the one to call her in which she seemed always bothered, as a grieving family this is the last thing we need, even when I spoke to corporate they were shocked that Sandra wasn’t communicating with us as the only thing Sandra did was file the claim and pretty much kept us k the dark until we’d initiate contact, we were lead to believe that we couldn’t get payment until we had the death certificate which I finally made arrangements with the funeral home to have the insurance pay them since we don’t have it only to realize that State Farm never needed the death certificate and only needed confirmation of death and a form that was also sent to the agency to be filled out which would’ve avoided so much time and grief since that same letter was also sent to the agency and Sandra then made the excuse that it was sent to Jennifer’s email and she has no access and apparently she has been out on a family matter, which if she understood the claim process she could’ve at least let us know that we need this form and keep an eye out for it but as stated she isn’t familiar with the process at all and made this already difficult time even more difficult not to mention when we called corporate they said agents can instantly have access to form and send it in, another thing Sandra should’ve been informed about, corporate also said typically the agents help with the form which Sandra never even knew existed and instead blamed the absence of Jennifer for her not knowing about it, after 30 years of experience I would hope she’d be familiar with the process, as a result we have transferred to another State Farm agent to never have to deal with Sandra again"

"Raised my parents their rates and notified them until 3 months later that they should had raised their rates, $30 for everyone! That's insane. We are switching. They are so good at increasing price but they will never help."

"Awesome people honestly ... I love that everytime I need help with anything such a claim or just a question about my policy they help me right away . I've had bad experiences before with other insurance companies but not this one . I want to Thank all staff but specially Jennifer Johnson for making our family feel save and secure with state farm insurance .Thank you !!"

"Not sure why some reviewers got bad customer service. We didn't. We had problems with a payment after we believed our credit card was compromised and we cancelled it, but a rep at Jennifer J's office figured out the problem and got us back on track. To the office manager: I really, REALLY appreciate that I don't have to go through a phone tree and long hold times to reach a human at State Farm. That is (sadly) become unusual; to reach my credit union by phone I have had to wait up to an hour and a half. So, good on State Farm for valuing their customers!"

"This office was chosen by my credit union to provide home owner's insurance for my new home. I thought I could save some money by moving my car insurance over to them. I called three times over several days during business hours and left messages. No one ever returned my calls. I finally caught them in the phone and I asked a few questions, and they promised to call be back the next day. They never did. After several more tries I gave up. Hoping for answers I called Mike at the Truth or Consequences office (which is actually very close to my home). He answered my questions immediately - right there on the spot. I eagerly transferred all my policies over to the Truth or Consequences office and I'm happy to report I was able to get them to cover my cars and I'm now saving money! Mike is friendly, helpful, and best of all AVAILABLE to help. I'm happy now. Why the Las Cruces office doesn't respond to customers mystifies me - it surely loses them business every day and frustrates their existing customers. Truly a bad business practice."

"Go with any other insurance, even a lot of contractors will tell you that they are the worst when it comes to paying out claims. I'm currently looking for a new company to do business with."

"Horrible customer service. Have been with this agent for several years and have never met her. Sandra is rude, irresponsible, and is not professional or personable. Sandra was always reluctant to transfer us to anyone else and so we had to deal with her. We never knew what our policy entailed and paper work would never reach us either. When we were hit by someone, the workers at this office told us we did not have to report the collision. After some time, when nothing was getting done, we called the 800 number and was told to report every collision regardless of who was at fault. Recently, the cost of insurance went up on one vehicle to $1200 and then jumped again to $1600. Because we could never get anything done with this office, we started transacting through the 800 number and they left a message for this Agent/office and we never got a call back for explanation. Switched to a new agent (same company) today, rates were lowered again + we received our paperwork with explanations of our policies and what to expect of our paperwork/policies in the near future. New agent showed us that there was record of us and the 800 number contacting this agent and that there was no record of this agent reaching out or reviewing our policies. Avoid this agent/office or it will cost!"

"The representatives there are not very thorough in explaining why my bill keeps jumping prices from $120 down to $80, then makes a drastic jump to $150. All they will say well just come in as if everyone just has the time to do so."

"I am changing my review of this agent for the following reasons: 1. After initiating my insurance with Mrs. Johnson's in January 2020 the office worker Sandra failed to initiate my insurance as I had instructed. She was advised to initiate my insurance for the State of New Mexico as it was in the State of Texas and California. My insurance with State Farm goes back to 2015 with an agent in the LA area and was transferred to Houston, TX where both of these agents were able to switch my monthly auto withdrawl amount from my account because the bank remained the same. This was not done at Mrs. Johnson's office resulting with my wife and I being uninsured for three months. 2. March 2020, pre covid lockdown I was about to travel to professional training for a week in Alabama when i received a cancellation notice on my auto insurance. I called Mrs. Johnson's office and spoke to office manager Sandra again, she stated that she had not done the direct withdrawl yet and that she would put it through today, I had to demand that she send an email on letter head stating that my insurance remained in effect. I insisted so that while driving to Alabama from New Mexico I had some form of valid proof of insurance since she had not done as I had instructed in January 2020. 3. May 2nd 2020 , I received a bank withdrawl notice from State Farm stating my monthly withdrawl $282 had been withdrawn from my account April 28th of 2020. The initial quote for insurance was just over $200 per month for liability on one vehicle and full coverage on another. 4. I transferred my auto to a farmers agent in ABQ my rated dropped by 100 a month. I then found that State farm had listed me as having a gap in my insurance coverage for the time that they failed to initiate my insurance. Doing business with them in two other states I walked into the office and they transferred my account withdrawl form other agents without a problem the same day. I have done business with State Farm for many years I have not ever had this much difficulty getting business done in an expedient way. I am not willing to continue doing business with them due to do their jobs."
